Powazki Cemetery, established in 1790 in Warsaw’s Wola district, is the city’s most famous and one of its oldest cemeteries, with over a million burials, including many notable Poles. On All Saints' Day (1 November) and Zaduszki (2 November), vigils are held in Roman Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Jewish, and Orthodox cemeteries to honor the deceased.
